Jonathan Bland is an international expert on social enterprises and social innovation. He is Managing Director of Social Business International Ltd. He is the founder and leader of E3M, an initiative run by Social Business International Ltd to support innovation in public services.
As the founding CEO of Social Enterprise UK, Jonathan helped to shape policy and practice for social enterprise development in the UK, including the development of the Community Interest Company, social investment funds and a range of other initiatives to get social enterprise recognised and supported.
His experience also includes 5 years working with employee-owned co-operatives in Spain, and four years in Finland advising the Finnish Government and local authorities on the promotion of new models for social enterprise public service delivery. He has also worked as an advisor to the European Commission supporting the development and implementation of the EU Social Business Initiative.
