Plant Hunting with the Rangers – Family Thursday

Thurs 24th July, 10:30am – 12:30pm

Meet our friendly Rangers, Karl and Ernie, and go plant hunting at Northern Roots!

This year at Northern Roots, we’re surveying species and collecting and recording the data. From bats and birds to plants and insects, we’re going to be finding out what currently lives on the site, so we can continue to improve habitat and support wildlife to flourish.

Help Karl and Ernie search for grassland plants, grasses, sedges and flowering plants and learn how to identify and record them.

The data you help us gather will inform how we protect wildlife and create thriving habitats at Northern Roots in future.

This session is suitable for children and young people aged 8+. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Tickets cost £3 per child / young person and are free for adults.
