Water. A precious resource. Vital to all life on earth.
Most of us take for granted that when we turn on a tap in our home water will flow. But when you flush the toilet or pour something down your kitchen sink do you know where that wastewater goes?
Do you know what you should and shouldn’t flush or pour into the underground network of pipes, drains and sewers?
We teamed up with residents in Glodwick, which borders the Northern Roots site, Community Champions and United Utilities, the water company for the North West, to trial Let’s Keep the Water Flowing in Glodwick, an innovative model for community-led behaviour change.
Led by a Project Manager and team of Community Champions recruited from Glodwick, the project was designed to work creatively with the community to raise awareness of what not to flush or pour – and to encourage behaviour change.
Local agency 24 Pictures worked with our team and local residents to make this short film.
