Meet Jubacana
Jubacana is a youth-led, fusion music and dance project based in Oldham for 8-18s, inspired by the music of Brazil and beyond with a twist.
We make a massive sound with Brazilian percussion instruments, creating original music with melodic guitars, bass, and drum kit thrown into the mix, all combined with vibrant dance choreographies.
We’re always on the lookout for new members; if you’re aged 8-18 and want to drum, dance, or both, Jubacana is the group for you to try something new or explore an existing talent. Visit Jubacana.com to find out more.

Meet StephtheStitchBish
”I’m Steph and I create under the name StephtheStitchBish. I’m a British Born Ghanaian fibre artist. I predominantly crochet, but I also engage in other fibre arts. I am very passionate about the many creative ways you can create practically anything; from accessories, art pieces to complex costumes, all with just yarn and a hook.
I like to create freeform art and costumes based around my love of pop culture, folklore, and the world around me. I share my love of crochet through workshops and pattern designing.”
Meet our Young Creative Producers
Chloe, Tamikka and Hassan are the local young people bringing this event to life. They’ve researched what young people would like to see, do and create, and have used their own experience of art, performing and producing to create an event that’s one of a kind!
