Green Drawing with artist Jo Blaker

Friday 1st August, 10am – 12pm

Explore and draw outdoors at Northern Roots! Let artist Jo Blaker take you on a journey through the Northern Roots landscape, inspiring you to use your creativity to connect to nature.

Using simple and easy drawing exercises, you will relax into the landscape as you create unique artworks, inspired by the beauty of the natural world.

This outdoor workshop is suitable for beginners, no experience needed, and materials will be provided.

Jo is a visual artist whose holistic drawing practice combines playful material enquiry with a love of observation. Jo draws to see, think, feel and express and shares this practice with people of all ages.

Jo holds an MA in Visual Communication from the Royal College of Art and has been teaching for over 15 years. Natural forms, cycles, rhythms and their interconnectedness often inspire Jo’s work on paper and with people. As both a student and ‘teacher’ of drawing Jo’s ongoing exploration is a source for much reflection which she shares throughout her sessions as well as with wider audiences online.
