Plant Folklore and Forage

Wednesday 13th August, 1pm – 5pm

Join Hannah-May, founder of Hedge School, for an immersive introduction to the fascinating world of plants, folklore, wild food foraging and community herbalism.

Together we’ll explore the woodland and we’ll forage, gather, and learn how to make hand-made herbal remedies and wild food recipes at home, and experience the flavours of our native larder. This is a great opportunity for anyone curious about foraging throughout the ages and those looking to deepen their understanding of and relationship to the place they call home.

You’ll leave this session with a deeper connection to nature and seasonal herbal remedy recipes you can try at home. You’ll also get the chance to explore the Northern Roots Urban Farm, where produce is grown using regenerative techniques, alongside medicinal herbs and flowers.

Hannah-May is passionate about supporting communities to recover, reconnect and restore their relationships with kith and kin through the sharing of traditional skills, knowledge and unruly education. Visit her website to learn more – https://hedgeschool.co.uk/plant-folk.html
