Plant Sale and Seed Swap

This May we’re throwing open the gates to the Phase 1 Urban Farm for our first plant sale and seed swap of 2025.

We’ll have a variety of flower and veg plants for sale including sunflowers, sweet peas, calendula, cornflowers, mallows, aubergines, tomatoes, chillies, squash, sorrel and herbs.

We have unique varieties such as Galina yellow cherry tomatoes, chocolate cherry tomatoes, Slim Jim and Pararie Fire chillies, and early green jalapeños.

Cash and card accepted and limited free parking in the Northern Roots car park, OL6 2BJ and along Kings Road. Visit our Find Us page for detailed directions.

Have spare seeds you’d like to share or looking for specific seeds? We’re hosting our first seed swap!

Please bring your seeds in an envelope or the original packaging with the full name and variety of the seeds, so you can swap them with whoever wants them! We’ll have heritage seeds to share, as well as seeds we’ve saved from last growing season.

Explore our growing space and polytunnels, chat with our Growers about growing techniques and relax in our community garden. Our Growers are experimenting with growing veg organically, so we’d love to hear your experiences and tips and tricks for growing in Oldham.
