Northern Roots is delighted to introduce its first Board of Trustees. Northern Roots (Oldham) Ltd has been established as a charitable company. Offering a diverse mix of expertise and experience, the Trustees will provide leadership to the Northern Roots charity, helping to ensure that it delivers its charitable objects. Over time, the Northern Roots charity will increasingly take over the management of the Northern Roots project from Oldham Council.
Allan Tyrer
Allan has been the Finance Director at Oldham College, responsible for Finance, Estates and IT, since July 2016. He has played an instrumental part in the College’s recent financial recovery. Prior to that he acted as a freelance business advisor to both commercial and not for profit business. Originally trained as a Chartered Accountant, Allan has worked in the education and related sectors for the last 25 years.
His roles include being Executive Director for Finance and Commercial at North Hertfordshire College and Group FD at The IMI, the professional association and awarding body for the retail motor industry.
