Around the Fire: Storytelling Across Cultures with Lingua Franca World Community

Saturday 13th September, 4-6pm

Join Geli Berg of Lingua Franca World Community for a celebration of storytelling around the campfire at Northern Roots! With a cup of cocoa and a warm blanket, listen to stories from around the world by local artists and community members.

Fancy sharing your own story? Open slots available for budding storytellers – just contact RowanKudekha-Lark@northern-roots.uk

Lingua Franca World Community CIC is a collective of diverse artists and performers who believe that creative expression is a lingua franca, which helps people of different cultures to understand each other. Around the Fire – Storytelling Across Cultures began in October 2021 as a means of bringing cultures together to share traditional and creative stories. When we speak about storytelling, we include any form of storytelling from the retelling of traditional stories, original poetry, or short stories, to music, scripts or even visual art.

Around the Fire: Storytelling Across Cultures is free and must be booked via Eventbrite.
