Lizzie has worked in the charity sector for nearly 2 decades. Starting out as a Community Fundraiser in Greater Manchester and Lancashire, Lizzie worked for many years with volunteers and supporters in Oldham and the surrounding areas. Since then she has led fundraising teams, campaigns and projects for national and local charities, raising funds across health, youth and culture.

In her recent studies towards a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sustainability and Behaviour Change, Lizzie discovered the wide-ranging benefits of nature connection and the potential it has for driving positive behaviour change.  She is excited by Northern Roots’ relatable, authentic and accessible approach to connecting people to nature and its evidence-based impact.

Lizzie is responsible for building partnerships and raising funds for Northern Roots to build on the significant progress already made towards imagining and creating an exemplar regenerative green project to benefit the environment and improve health, wellbeing and livelihoods in Oldham.
