Lingua Franca World Community CIC is a collective of diverse artists and performers who believe that creative expression is a lingua franca, which helps people of different cultures to understand each other. Around the Fire – Storytelling Across Cultures is now in its fourth year, and has previously run at Northern Roots, Bittersweet and the Fox & Pine, Oldham. Its purpose is to promote communication and education through the recognition and power of personal stories and experiences.
When we speak about storytelling, we include any form of storytelling from the retelling of traditional stories, original poetry, or short stories, to music, scripts or even visual art.
Around the Fire: Storytelling Across Cultures is free and must be booked via Eventbrite.
